A total of 18 alpacas reside at Wooly Acres Alpacas.
Why Alpacas?
We opened Wooly Acres Alpacas in 2001. We wanted to raise
easygoing animals that were also easy on the land, animals that
would enhance our country lifestyle. We enjoy raising and
breeding our alpacas and sharing our love of them with
others.
We spend time with every one of our alpacas every day—our
alpacas are very loving and easy to handle.
Wooly Acres Alpacas is a full-service alpaca farm
providing sales, breeding, boarding, fiber and fiber products.
Most importantly, we provide lots of friendly support for
beginners. At Wooly Acres, we help you get started with a
breeding pair or package. We answer your questions before and
after the sale, and offer ongoing support as you build your own
operation. We provide boarding services and can house your
animals until your facility is ready -- or long- term if you
don't plan to start your own facility.
At Wooly Acres, we care for and breed the highest quality
alpacas. Each alpaca is selected and bred for fiber,
conformation and disposition. We understand the importance of
good conformation, bite, temperament and fleece. All of our
alpacas are ARI registered, DNA tested, micro-chipped and
up-to-date on vaccinations and dewormings. Each alpaca is under
the care of a veterinarian actively practicing camelid medicine.
Wooly Acres female alpacas sold are bred to our award winning
herd sires – or if not yet bred, we offer a free breeding. Our
breeding program not only places an emphasis on fine fleece, but
also provides unparalleled support and service. At Wooly Acres,
we build and enjoy solid relationships with all of our
customers.
Wooly Acres Alpacas support local, regional and national shows
and are members of the AOBA, ARI, MAPACA, PAOBA, SAFONA and AFCNA.
